The Experience
St Johann in Tirol is a great all-around ski resort that offers something for everyone. If you are looking for a family-friendly resort with good skiing, beautiful scenery, and a lively après-ski scene, then St Johann is definitely worth considering. I loved my ski experience at St Johann as it has a traditional Austrian vibe, being a small enough village to walk around and enjoy the restaurants and bars. Not much has changed in St Johann and that’s why we love it even more today! It’s always been one of our best sellers and a top beginner resort. During the high season our resort guides are there to ensure you find your holiday is a fun-filled memorable one.
There are many reasons why St Johann in Tirol would be a great place for your ski holiday. Here are a few:
- Great for all ability levels: St Johann has a mix of slopes that cater to skiers and snowboarders of all ability levels. There are plenty of gentle blues for beginners, a good selection of reds for intermediates, and a few challenging blacks for experts.
- Family-friendly ski slopes: The resort has a great reputation for being family-friendly. Several ski schools offer lessons for children of all ages, and there are also several child-friendly activities available in the village, such as sledding, ice skating, and swimming.
- Beautiful scenery: St Johann is located in a stunning part of the world, with the Kitzbüheler Horn mountains on one side and the Wilder Kaiser mountains on the other. The views from the slopes are truly breathtaking.
- Compact and walkable: The resort is relatively small and walkable, so you can easily get around without having to rely on public transport. This is a major advantage if you are travelling with young children or if you have mobility problems.
- Lively après-ski scene: After a day on the slopes, you can enjoy a lively après-ski scene in the village. There are many bars and restaurants where you can relax and have a drink with friends.
- Reasonably priced: Compared to some other Austrian ski resorts, St Johann is reasonably priced. This makes it a good option for budget-conscious travellers.
